You know, the big story in Canadian TV last week was that the CBC gave the boot to three series: MVP, jPod and Intelligence. And everyone is boohooing about it.
The way I see it is: if these are flops, they deserve to get the boot. Why the heck don't people want to congratulate the CBC on the shows they renewed, especially the new hits like Sophie and The Border? Seems to me that they are doing a lot of things right at the CBC these days as far as developing programming is concerned, and they ought to be commended for it. It's a lot better situation they are in now, as opposed to only a couple of years ago when it seemed like every show they were putting on the air was a freaking flop.
