Today I am going to do a top-twenty list of the most babed-up TV shows of all time. Blame Bob Barker and David Hasselhoff for this idea.
That big ladies' man Barker, of course, had his big farewell week last week on CBS for The Price is Right, a show best known for the sexy female models on the cast. (More later) As for Hasselhoff, I noticed he is getting quite the promotional treatment for his upcoming America's Got Talent piece of junk which is coming back to NBC. I gotta say this guy has appeared in more cheesy TV shows than anyone else. First he was on Knight Rider, and then he starred on an even cheesier show, Baywatch, which goes at the very top of my list of Most-Babed-Up Shows of All Time.
Why? For obvious reasons. The nickname of this show was Babe-watch, for obvious reasons, with all these female cast members wearing swimsuits. Anyway, I really miss that show and all the gorgeous women who were a part of it. I had a big crush on, well, most of the female cast.

What's really hilarious about Baywatch is that they went out of their way to load the cast up with the hottest babes out there. It seemed like all the professional hot babes of the Nineties appeared on this show. While these women didn't get naked on the show, boy, did you get to see them naked elsewhere. So many of the female cast members of Baywatch ended up in Playboy that it was a joke.
For one, they loved to cast Playmates on the show. Pam Anderson was the most famous one, but they also had Erika Eleniak, Donna D'Errico, Marliece Andrata, Kelly Monaco, Alicia Richter and of course Brande Roderick. And there were guest appearances from other Playmates on the show, including Jenny McCarthy. Plus, several cast members ended up in Playboy doing celebrity pictorials: Carmen Electra (who posed four times and was on the cover twice), Gena Lee Nolin, Traci Bingham and Angelica Bridges!
That's not all. Brandy Ledford was a Penthouse Pet before she went into acting. Krista Allen was in the cast at one point, and she was absolutely notorious for getting naked on-screen in the Emmanuelle movies. Then you had more demure types like Shawn Weatherly, who was a former Miss Universe!!! Add to that more hot babes like Yasmeen Bleeth, Brooke Burns, Stacy Kamano and a host of others. Plus, a spinoff called Baywatch Nights had Angie Harmon on it. It's no contest: Baywatch is the most babed-up television show of all time. At least a dozen pinup girls on the show. Not too shabby.
Other shows loaded with babes:
2) The Price is Right
Absolutely one of the greatest "babe" shows of all time, featuring the gorgeou
s Barker's Beauties. This is another show where a ridiculous number of the women on the show appeared in Playboy. Janice Pennington was a Playmate, and so was Nikki Ziering and Heather Kozar! In fact, Heather was Playmate of the Year. And Dian Parkinson was in Playboy twice, as the celebrity pictorial. Hard to believe, but Dian was pushing 50 when she posed. You could have fooled me. Simply put, Dian was just the hottest babe ever.
I suppose the hot Price is Right girl of the moment is Gabrielle Tuite, and while she hasn't gotten naked in Playboy yet, she should.
3) Deal or No Deal
Game shows are great places to find babes on TV. 26 gorgeous babes with suitcases. The cast includes former Barker's Beauty Claudia Jordan! (Take that Bob Barker.) Also, model Pilar Lastra was once a Playmate, and Aubrie Lemon was a Playboy Cybergirl! Also, model April Scott (who recently left the show) donned the shorts to play Daisy Duke in a Dukes of Hazzard movie, and appeared in Maxim.
Howie Mandel is the luckiest guy on earth, hosting that show.
4)Charlie's Angels
You can't make a list about babes on TV shows without mentioning this show-- although when you think about it, the women on this show really had a lot of class.
They really carried themselves well, those women. But when this show began, people just dismissed this show as a big babefest, calling it "jiggle TV" and dismissing these girls as a bunch of pinups. Ushered in an era of sexed-up "jiggle TV" shows in the Seventies including Three's Company, Flying High, Battle of the Network Stars, Love Boat and other junk.
Farrah Fawcett turned into the greatest pinup of all time by appearing on this show. But female fans could really identify with Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith.
The most underrated Angel on the series, though, was that scorching-hot Tanya Roberts. Tanya only appeared in the final season, but she was a knockout. She not only looked amazing in a swimsuit, but went on to sex it up in the movies and in Playboy. Obviously a big favorite with the guys.
5) Three's Company
Two words: Suzanne Somers. End of statement. Priscilla Barnes and Jenilee Harrison were cute, too.

6)The Girls Next Door
One of the most naked TV shows of all time. Starring Bridget, Holly, Kendra and their buddies the Playmates. Obvious choice for a list like this one.
7)Wild On!
Another E! show. The sexiest travel show of all time, loaded with babes going wild and getting drunk. Hosted with gusto during much of its run by professional babe Brooke Burke.
8) The Dukes of Hazzard
Two words. Catherine Bach. Nice legs, Daisy.
9) VIP
Any show with Pam Anderson in it wearing shorts all the time is going to be on a list like this.
10) Red Shoe Diaries
A Zalman King skinfest on cable. One of the all-time sexiest series in American TV history. Made Joan Severance's career.
11) She Spies
Anyone remember this show? It featured Natasha Henstridge and a couple of other actresses. Obviously cheesy but any show smart enough to have Natasha Henstridge on it is a great babed-up show.
12) Singled Out!
This sexy MTV dating show was hosted by babe Jenny McCarthy, and then by babe Carmen Electra.
13) Dynasty
This series was loaded with babes. Featured the smoking-hot older babes Linda Evans and Joan Collins, who put younger women to shame with their energetic, sexy performances on this show. These two engaged in the greatest catfight in TV history. Also, this show featured the young and hot Heather Locklear.
14) The Dean Martin Show
People forget this but this show had a great female cast of singers and dancers on it called the Golddiggers. They were smoking hot and were great eye candy, making The Dean Martin Show one of the least politically correct TV shows of all time.
15) Stacked! Another great babefest featuring the delicious Pam Anderson again in the title role.
16) and 17) Sheena, Queen of the Jungle
Who can forget either the original series starring Irish McCalla or the remake featuring Gena Lee Nolin in the title role of jungle babe Sheena.
18) My Living Doll
How about Julie Newmar, both on Batman and in her own show My Living Doll? Now that woman was definitely a hot babe.
19) Petticoat Junction
Another show from the Sixties that had plenty of girls on it was Petticoat Junction. That show was really loaded with hotties. When I was a kid, I had a big crush on those three adorable Bradley girls from Hooterville. I definitely thought Meredith MacRae was a babe.
20)We Got It Made
Anyone remember this mid-Eighties junk TV show? There was only one reason to watch it: that smoking hot blonde babe on the show, Teri Copley. She played Mickey the housekeeper. Nobody remembers that show, but everyone remembers her and how great she was.
I'm sure there are lots of other shows I haven't mentioned-- the CSI shows have a lot of babes in them wearing bikinis, and reality TV is loaded with babes, especially The Bachelor, Average Joe, Survivor, Big Brother, Fear Factor and these MTV Road Rules/ Real World type shows. These MTV reality shows are just loaded with bikini-clad women. On the networks, Joe Millionaire was one reality show in particular that was memorable for being absolutely chock full of smoking hot women. And of course we can't ever forget Beauty and the Geek.
90210 was another show that was loaded with babes. And that WB network was just loaded with babes as well--- Alyssa Milano, Charisma Carpenter, Shannen Doherty, a ton of them.
Thinking back, the Seventies really were the greatest decade ever for babes on TV shows. There's a lot of Seventies TV shows that didn't last a long time, but which were really babed-up. They had a bunch of lady truckers on that show BJ and the Bear.
And wasn't Flying High loaded with babes, too? That was a show about stewardesses that aired on CBS in 1978 at the height of the "jiggle TV" era, but it didn't last very long. One of the stewardess babes on the show was Connie Sellecca (who later appeared on The Greatest American Hero) and she got to wear bikinis and other fun outfits on this silly Flying High show.
Also, there was that series of specials on ABC called Battle of the Network Stars which had plenty of women on it. That was fun and also cheesy. The networks also aired lots of made-for-TV movies, including one about the sexy Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders that had Jane Seymour starring in it. Fun stuff.
I could also mention Lynda Carter playing Wonder Woman, or Erin Gray donning the spandex on Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, or the long list of guest stars on The Love Boat and Fantasy Island. There was a show that aired briefly on NBC called Quark that featured twins Cyb and Tricia Barnstable on it, wearing shorts all the time. Those two were babes!! There were also lots of girls on that Eighties show The Facts of Life, but that whole show sucked and the girls on it sucked, and they weren't exactly babes, either. I could go on and on.
What is there these days for fans who want to see "babe" TV shows? Desperate Housewives?!
It's kind of sad when the most babed-up show on TV is THAT one, when you think about it.
I suppose My Name is Earl qualifies because of the smoking-hot Jaime Pressly (right). What else is there, though?! Battlestar Galactica (Tricia Helfer)?! Las Vegas has plenty of babes, too, but these two shows are ending soon.
There's America's Next Top Model and that Pussycat Dolls show, and The Bachelor, but really, who wants to watch that? Adrianne Curry is definitely a babe, but who wants to watch My Fair Brady, either? I suppose you can check out the WWE Divas on Smackdown! every week. Or those babes who co-host on The Best Damn Sports Show, Period or on these poker shows on TV. There's The L Word, but that's a little different because those women on the show are supposed to be lesbians so they don't exactly babe it up all the time.
Sex and the City was pretty babed-up in its day, too, but that was a little different--- those were babes with style. And that was really a girls' show anyway. Kim Cattrall sure was naked a lot, though. Other than that, what is there, apart from this R-rated junk from Showtime or Cinemax?! I guess there are babes on Entourage, but they aren't part of the regular cast.
All I will say is that there aren't enough babes on TV these days. Unfortunately, as Grey's Anatomy and these other shows prove nowadays, it's all about the hunks.
