Saskatchewan Roughriders fans are either the most loyal football fans in Canada or the craziest. Maybe a bit of both.

What else can you say about them after this week? First they take over Toronto and drown out the Skydome with all their fans in there. About 80 per cent of the stadium was wearing green and cheering for the Riders. Then the Riders come home, and they have a big rally at Mosaic Stadium showing off the Grey Cup and 8,000 fans show up, and they are all freezing to death in minus 30 temperatures! Then they have a big victory parade the next day and show off the Cup on the steps of the Legislature, and again, the fans are all out there and it's minus 30 out!! These fans are CRAZY.

I gotta say, the Rider players did a great job but the fans of the Riders were even more impressive to me this week. They really were the story of the week in my book. It wasn't the Riders who won the Grey Cup but Rider Pride. You know, "green is the colour" and all that sort of thing.

Here are some more stories from this week's victory celebrations. And a story about this young cancer patient who got to share in the Riders victory.

Hey, what can I say? I'm a Riders fan, and these things don't happen often enough as far as I'm concerned.
